April 2026
Every fraud attempt blocked, every rupee protected, every stolen phone flagged — published openly so you know exactly how safe Yaqeen is.
This month's summary
April 2026 saw our highest fraud blocking month to date — 2,847 attempts, up 9% from March. The increase is largely explained by growing platform awareness driving more attempted abuse, not an underlying security weakness.
Non-PTA device listings remain the #1 fraud type by volume, consistent with prior months. Identity fraud attempts dropped 12% — suggesting our CNIC verification friction is working as a deterrent.
Breakdown by fraud type
Non-PTA Devices
Most common. Sellers attempting to list phones with unregistered or blocked IMEIs. All caught at listing creation via PTA DIRBS live lookup.
Identity Fraud Attempts
Fake CNIC submissions — stolen IDs, edited images, liveness check failures. Shufti Pro biometric matching catches these at verification.
Escrow Bypass Attempts
Sellers trying to convince buyers to pay directly outside escrow. Our messaging system flags keywords and warns buyers automatically.
Fake Listings
Stock photos, non-existent items, wrong model listed. AI image analysis + cross-reference with similar sold listings catches these.
Other / Duplicate Accounts
Banned sellers attempting re-registration. Device fingerprinting matches banned accounts.
